Practice Tower
In 1995 the West Chester Fire Training Center began construction on a training tower. The five story tower contains a standpipe connection, a firefighter survival maze on the 1st floor, a confidence maze on the 2nd floor, a simulated office floor on the 3rd floor, and a simulated apartment on the 4th floor. The 5th floor is open. The building has one interior and one exterior stairwell. It has a roof hatch from the 5th floor to the roof, and anchors for high angle rescue ropes. The tower can be filled with simulated smoke and can accommodate charged hose lines. There is no burning permitted in the tower.
